Sexual Education Workshop in Morado K’asa

In collaboration with CIES a local organization that works in sexual health and education, BiblioWorks organized a day long workshop with teenagers in the Morado K’asa library to discuss sexual education.

In recent years pregnancy and STDs in the rural areas of Bolivia where BiblioWorks has built libraries have gone up dramatically. BiblioWorks believes that with education and empowerment teenagers will make the right decisions for their life and avoid situations that put them at-risk and unable to get out of poverty.

The workshop was a huge success and the teenagers asked poignant and real questions. They learned a lot during the workshop, but still have many doubts about sexuality. BiblioWorks hopes to collaborate with CIES to do this workshop and many others in all of our libraries.
