Tidings of Joy

Hello!

Today is a great day. We just welcomed our newest volunteer to the mix, Anthony, from Belgium. He has been in Sucre for mere hours, but is already excited to get started. He will be with Biblioworks for two months (yahoo!) and will mainly be working in Biblioteca 14 enero in Presto. The kids there have been asking to play chess, and Anthony is ready for the challenge. He will also be working on starting a “competitive book club”, challenging different ages of students to compete in the amount of books they can read! We are very excited.

Today is also great because our other newest volunteer, Aude, from France, is currently on her way to Morado K’asa for the first time.  Aude is a teacher in France, has been in Sucre twice before, and speaks perfect Spanish. She is amazing. She will be spending at least the next month with us, and is taking over my original project in Tarabuco, teaching literacy to mothers in the community, in addition to starting a brand new one in Morado K’asa! Frances, our wonderful volunteer of all trades is accompanying Aude on the overnight adventure.

We are so thankful for our volunteers. It may sound sappy, but its true.

Welcome Aude and Anthony, and everyone else keep up the good work! More great days to come…

Love, Erin
