BiblioWorks inaugurated its seventh library in the indigenous market town of Tarabuco in April 2008. Tarabuco is famed for its intricate weavings and rich tradition of handicrafts, and its Sunday market draws crowds of both locals and tourists.

The library Virgen de Rosario draws participants of all ages, as it features programs to encourage adult literacy. Even though the library space is quite small, children and high school students fill the library every afternoon as they work on their homework and read.

In 2015, the building where the library operates was declared the municipal House of Culture.
