INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE VOLUNTEER

In the city of Sucre, the National Council for Volunteering (CONABOL) of the Chuquisaca región held a special event to reward all the volunteers that have worked one or more years to improve the quality of life of people and animals that we are involved with: they are people who are “all heart”.

The BiblioWorks foundation participated in this award ceremony, presenting the Taylor Family: Yuval Taylor, Karen Duys, Thalía Taylor and Jack Taylor, who have worked in the Yamparáea community library “Virgen de Guadalupe”, helping the librarian with the book club activities and running English classes.

The award ceremony was held in the assembly hall of the Governorate of Chuquisaca on 5 December 2013, and recognized the work of more than 50 institutions with both national and foreign volunteers, acknowledging the selfless work that these people have achieved. The Taylor family stood out because unlike the other volunteers, they are a whole family dedicating their time, efforts, and love to volunteer work.
